If you’re looking for a woodworking project that won’t break the bank, how about a sweet little project that can be made with only one board foot of lumber?

This Arts and Crafts style book case features through tenon joinery and a sliding panel that adjusts to perfectly fit your stack of books. The project is designed to use a benchtop mortiser, but if you don’t have one don’t sweat it. You can either sharpen up a chisel and create the square holes by hand, or alternatively use dowel stock for the rods and drill holes with a standard drill bit.
