2023 Product Showcase: ISOTunes

Paul. We got another showcase to do you. Excited George. I'm so fired up. I love tools. I love seeing the innovation that is happening in the industry and it's fun to get together and talk about well being in the position we're in where we get to talk about it amongst ourselves. But then also share that with people. You ready to look at one. Let's do it. Here we go. Well, I know that you're a huge fan of Iso Tunes. I am just amazed by what a game changer they are. If you get, you know, doing repetitive tasks, especially in the shop, sanding and so forth, it's great to have them on. This is a product that I hadn't been familiar with that they make and I just from the I picked it up, it just screams quality to me and I just love that in the product, the robustness, durability and quality. So Iso Tunes has a lot of bases covered and it's kind of redundantly repetitive, but it's always worth saying safety stuff, which is if you're going to be around tools, you got to protect your hearing. We've got to reduce that inbound decibel level. Most stuff in your shop runs around 105 decibels or so. Um, and that's, um, D for Decibel and D for deafness. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. If there's one takeaway is be a fanatic, always, always, always protect your ears and of course, with the iso tunes product, uh, we're getting that noise reduction but also the fact that I can bluetooth these to my phone and listen to music, I can answer calls and in my world I know I've mentioned this a bunch of times. It's not just about being in the shop. It's when I'm working out, it's when I'm riding my bicycle. It's when I'm, these are, it's kind of a lifestyle addition for me, not just a wood shot addition for me. Um The other thing that's so cool about Iso Tunes is the whole family nature of the company. And they were literally um putting product in boxes on the ping pong table in their basement. You know, talk about uh we're always looking for these success stories in America of somebody who just had a cool idea and took it to market successfully. And that's what is itunes is all about. And we talk about some of that stuff on the video. So let's have a look at that. You've seen me wearing Iso Tunes, hearing protection for a really long time. And the reason for it is because I love the product. We're going to talk about some great aspects of the product. We're also going to talk about some great aspects of the company here. Starting with the products overall, the umbrella that these fall under is they provide hearing protection. They'll Bluetooth connect to your device. So not only can I get hearing protection while I'm working in the shop, we'll talk about the importance of that. But I can also, by being connected to my device, I can listen to music, I can make and take phone calls. So it's really all under one roof. Now, the hearing protection aspect, routers, planers table saws shot vacuums, all of that stuff in your shop can very quickly degrade your hearing and you may not notice it on a day by day basis, but you will notice it over a long period of time. So with the two devices that we're looking at today, they both provide 25 decibels of noise reduction. That's a great number to bring that sound level in your shot down to a point where it's not going to hurt your hearing. Now, first, let's look at iso tunes free free with this product means it is completely wireless, which is, there's no wire between these, they're ear buds and of course, we're wireless to the device that you're connecting to the case is also a charging device. So the case can get plugged in and that acts as its own battery, its own charging station. So that even when the case is unplugged. When I put my ear buds back in there, I am going to charge those. The link is a different style and this is a lot about just making sure that you can choose the style of hearing protection that you're most comfortable with. So if you don't like the in the ear hearing protection, like these ear buds, you can go over the ear with the link again, 25 decibels of hearing protection up to about 50 hours of working time. Once these are fully charged seven hours of working time on these ear buds when they're fully charged. Now, one of the things that we've got going here is that the there is a microphone on board with the link. If you want additional mic pick up for when you're on the phone, we can open up that compartment that bay and we can plug a boom microphone into that to have a little bit better audio when you're on the phone. In both cases here, we've also got moisture resistance so that you don't want to go scuba diving with these, but they can tolerate the environment really, really well. So really the bottom line out of this is Iso Tunes has done a good job of providing not just with these products but their whole array of products. They've got a lot more pieces in the family than this, something that will work for you. And it's really important that you find something that works the best and you use it all the time, every time you're running a tool, every time you're doing noisy stuff. And honestly, for me, it's not just about being in the shop, it's when I'm using a chainsaw, it's when I'm working on the car, it's when I'm forging over my Anvil Iso Tunes is always stuck in my ear. So we know the product is cool. Now, the other thing that's neat is the company is pretty cool. The company was started by a family. So the Murphy family originated Iso Tunes and this is a great, you know, just American work hard story of in the basement of their house. They were packing the original Iso Tunes products into boxes on their ping pong table. That was the company as it started out. They grew and they grew and they grew, they eventually hired a friend of theirs, a neighbor to become one of their customer service reps. So again, very close knit and as a company is, Tunes has three really stellar things going on hearing protection. We've talked about that customer service. They do a great job of listening to their customers and then innovation because they're just never standing still. They're always making their hearing protection products better and better and better. All great attributes of a great company with a great product. George. George George, we're live, we're live, you get a little wrapped up in your own little world, your own little is I like my space. Absolutely. You know, one thing that I really love about these is and they've got this just dialed into noise cancellation. So, if you're working in the shop, sanding or whatever phone call comes in, you pick it up, you can talk, you can continue sanding using the tool and that does not transmit across the call at all. I'm very guilty of, uh, I shouldn't probably disclose this to people who call me, but I'm very guilty of running a shot vacuum around my shop while I'm on the phone via my iso tunes because it's taken the shot vacuum out of the background and, uh, the people can't tell I wouldn't have known a little distracted by running a vacuum. It's, yeah, all around school product. And you gotta love the, uh, the family background to the company. It's really a great aspect. Another showcase in the Can Paul. Did you have fun? I had fun.
