Paul. We got another showcase to do you. Excited George. I'm so fired up. I love tools. I love seeing the innovation that is happening in the industry and it's fun to get together and talk about well being in the position we're in where we get to talk about it amongst ourselves. But then also share that with people. You ready to look at one. Let's do it. Here we go. Have you ever installed a drawer? Well, as you know, George recently, you saw the pile of the drawers and drawer faces that I've built recently. Yeah, one or two. And um, one of the things Paul and I are both advocates and our woodworking of like if, if you can install the drawer box boxes and then add the drawer fronts after the fact that's a pretty much a straight rifle shot to getting the whole thing to look right when you're done because you're, you're building as you go. Right. Indeed. Yeah, you sent me the link to this and my first reaction, I was mad at you because you didn't send it to earlier earlier before I built all those uh installed all those doors So what we're talking about here are the Craig Door installation door, front installation tools. And, um, this just man do these simplify getting drawer fronts onto a drawer box. So, um, we'll have a look at the video before we go in that direction. Just we've got in addition to the jigs, in addition to the clamps, these whoops, these shims that come with it that then provide the spacers you need. And, um, people know, in my woodworking, I'm a huge fan of gauging stuff instead of measuring stuff. And that's what this does for you is it allows you to pick the right sh depending on what kind of space you're trying to hit and uh getting that to work. So, um, let's see how this whole thing comes together in the video. When your project gets to a point like this, which is everything's built, you're ready to put the drawer fronts on. It's really nice when the drawer fronts go on straight and they're correctly aligned left to right. And the Craig system makes that really, really easy to do. There are a bunch of things going on here. We've got clamps, you're going to see those in play in just a second. And if you know me, you know, I like gauging stuff whenever I can. Instead of measuring stuff, that's what these spacers are all about. They're magnetic, so they'll engage with each other and there are a bunch of different increments here So we can use different thicknesses from super thick, two super thin in order to get the spacing that we need on the drawer. So let me get blocks put together and then we'll have a look here at getting the first draw front done. So now using a combination of spacers, I've got that block and that stack equal and that's gonna end up being the spacer that we use on top of the doors to get the first drawer front on. So that's part of our setup. The other part of our set up are the clamps, one labeled L for left goes on the left, R for right, goes on the right and then the bottom door front is that guy, all I'm gonna do for now is get it in there. Sort of, I'm not worried about left to right at this second. You're going to see that come into play in just a little bit. Now, remember we've got spacers. So what I need to make happen is that spacer can go on top of there, let that side come down until it kisses the spacer. Same on this side. Then when you look at the clamps, the other thing that's crazy. Cool about this is there's a scale going out, that's the overlay of your drawer front. It's the same on the left and it's the same on the right. So at this point, I don't have to measure. I just got to make it the same on both sides. So whether it's half inch overlay, 3/8 overlay, 7 16 s overlay, I just got to hit that same number left and right. And then what I really, really like about this is that drawer front is now correctly positioned and my next job is to fasten it in the drawer box. So more and then ok, I can drive screws inside to out, take this off. And that first row is set now to keep going from here is easy. Peasy. All I need to do is grab the next size of spacer and I can put that in place. I'm gonna want these thin guys. So the other thing that's good to know about this particular sh is that it's also set up if you're doing an inset drawer, front or door for that matter, which is, that's the dimension you commonly use for inset is 3 30 seconds of an inch. That's that amount right there. So that's gonna give you the correct amount on an inset. So I'm gonna get my spacer on top of this front position, the next one and just keep working that stack all the way up. So the beauty of this is a couple of different things using the spacers instead of measuring, you're going to get really good consistency, using the clamps, you can stand back and make sure everything is just right then open the drawer and drive your screws to make sure it stays there. So overall, the system makes installing drawer fronts like this super, super easy to do during our little nap there. While the video was somebody noticed that when I was messing with these shims, they're doing this and was asking about that. So it's another nice aspect of this is that with these spacers, there's a magnet. So when you're creating the stack that you need for your particular drawer arrangement, um they're gonna bind together and then I want to point out too that the skinniest ones give us um that ever famous three 32nd spacing that you use on so many inset um and so many inset installations. So there's really a full array of gauges there that no matter what you're doing, it's gonna cover you on do installation. And I'm so sorry for not making you aware of that before you put 400 drawer fronts in your kitchen. I forgive you another showcase in the Can Paul. Did you have fun? I had fun. I've got a lot of good ideas to take back to my shop. Cool. And that's part of this is getting those ideas out in front of people so that they can maybe take them back to their shop too, take them back to the shop and go shopping because you can never have enough tools. Thanks so much for watching.
