Fundamentals of Hand Tools Session 7: Class Summary
Tom CasparDescription
Tom wraps up this Class with a reminder to practice the tips and techniques you learned in making this jewelry box, and apply your new hand tool skills to create a variety of projects in your shop.
Well, I hope you really enjoyed this class. I sure did. You know, I've been teaching this for a long time now and I think it's a great way to introduce everybody to the wonderful aspects of all these hand tools, from planes to saws to spokeshaves to chisels. It's a very simple project to make, but to get good at all this stuff, you really have to do it over and over and over again. I'm sure you will never master these skills in a weekend.
So, a small project like this, a nice range of hand tools. Just have it, have fun. If you goof up, toss the piece away, do it again. But just keep on doing it. That's what really counts.
See you next time.
