In the Sept Q&A, you wondered why SawStop recommended we stand to the right of the fence as this seemed rather awkward. Perhaps their thinking is that it places the fence between us and any kick-back projectile. I agree with you that this makes using the saw more challenging for right handed workers. In fact, it could lead to other safety issues as it may make it more difficult to control the work piece. As long as we stand left of the piece, we should be OK.
